DESCRIPTION

Forget-me-nots speaks to not being forgotten and existing in a world where you have an illness that medicine has often dismissed. Exist is for the warriors who continue to be their own advocate and don't forget that they deserve to be seen, and feel heard.

Exist is the second forget-me-not painting in the Lyme Disease Awareness collection, a companion to Exist II. If Exist is about the will to keep advocating, this piece is about the ground that holds you while you do — the people, the community, the returning of small blue flowers in a season that was supposed to be over.

Painted by hand in gouache acrylic paint. The blooms are soft and clustered, painted with the opacity and matte warmth that gouache alone can give.

Printed on Giclée archival watercolor rag paper — 315gsm, 100% cotton, with a subtle texture that is similar to the paper quality of the original. Produced using 100% archival pigment inks rated for long-term display without fading. Each print is hand-signed by the artist and individually numbered as part of a limited edition — making it a collectible in its own right, not just a copy.

A note on display: Oil pastel should be framed with a mat to keep glazing off the surface. UV-protective glass or acrylic recommended. Handle by edges only.
