DESCRIPTION

The bearded iris does not look like a flower that struggles. It is grand, architectural, almost regal; underneath all of that, it is carrying something no one can see from the outside. That felt true to adenomyosis warriors.

Hidden Courage was created for Adenomyosis Awareness. Adenomyosis is a condition that lives inside the wall of the uterus — invisible on the surface, invisible for years to the medical community, quietly enormous for the people who carry it. This disease can cause infertility, and it cannot be cured without a hysterectomy. The bearded iris felt like the right witness: striking and complex on the outside, with a hidden structure that does all the real work.

For everyone carrying something no one else can see. Your courage is real, even when it's hidden.

Painted in oil pastel, the blooms are rendered in deep violets, layered to capture the ruffled, velvety texture the flower is known for.

Produced using 100% archival pigment inks rated for long-term display without fading. Each print is hand-signed by the artist and individually numbered as part of a limited edition — making it a collectible in its own right, not just a copy.

A note on display: Oil pastel should be framed with a mat to keep glazing off the surface. UV-protective glass or acrylic recommended. Handle by edges only.
