DESCRIPTION

Pensées. In French, the word means both pansies and thoughts — the flower named for thinking, for remembering, for holding something gently in mind.

Pensées was created for Lyme Disease Awareness Month. Pansies have long been symbols of remembrance and of loving thoughts sent across distance. There is so much distance in a chronic illness: between who you were and who you are, between you and the people who don't understand, between you and a diagnosis that took too long. This piece was made to close some of that distance.

For everyone whose thoughts return, again and again, to the fight. You are not forgotten.

Produced using 100% archival pigment inks rated for long-term display without fading. Each print is hand-signed by the artist and individually numbered as part of a limited edition — making it a collectible in its own right, not just a copy.

A note on display: Oil pastel should be framed with a mat to keep glazing off the surface. UV-protective glass or acrylic recommended. Handle by edges only.
